Newly issued: “Handbuch zur Aktiengesellschaft”

Vienna, March 2017. Leading lawyers from bpv Hügel Attorneys at Law have played a key role in the newly issued handbook on the stock company (2nd edition, 2017, editor: Gratzl, Hausmaninger, Justich, publisher: LexisNexis). The book deals with all important aspects of the stock company, whereby publishers and authors put special emphasis on practical orientation and relevance.

Advanced training course: Energy Commissioner – Seminar on Energy Efficiency Law (Academy for Law and Taxes)

In October 2016, after writing her doctoral-thesis on Energy Efficiency Law, Anna Walbert-Satek, attorney-at-law at bpv Hügel Vienna, spoke on that topic in October 2016 as part of the advanced training course “Energy Commissioner” at the Academy for Law and Taxes in Vienna.

The prestigious European Tax Awards of the International Tax Review’s take place annually and recognise the leading tax professionals around Europe. The firms are judged on key criteria such as size, innovation and complexity of their transactions. After being awarded in 2015 for the work on the BUWOG spin-off with the “European Capital Market Tax Deal of the Year” bpv Hügel is nominated for the “Austrian Tax Firm of the Year” for the third time in a row.

bpv Hügel advises management of BAI Group in its sale by UniCredit Bank Austria to joint venture of SIGNA and investor group.

The BAI Bauträger Group has EUR 1.7bn real estate investment volume and a 440,000 sqm development portfolio. BAI was sold by UniCredit Bank Austria to a joint venture of SIGNA and investor group. bpv Hügel advised the management of the target in the course of the transaction.

Vienna Juristengespräche – “Big Data – legal challenges ahead”

bpv Hügel consults Vienna Airport at indemnity from public procurement law

And Dr. Michaela Pelinka LL.M., partners of bpv Hügel Rechtsanwälte in Vienna, have published the rights, obligations and opportunities of venture capital financing in the publication series “Vertragsrecht | Vertragsgestaltung” (“Contract Law | Contract Drafting”) in Linde Verlag on 200 pages, published by Armin Kammel and Gerhard Schummer. An investment with venture capital in companies entails many opportunities but also some risks.
