bpv Huegel’s antitrust practice is ranked once again among the “Elite” in Global Competition Review’s 2020 edition of GCR 100, a guide to the world’s leading competition law and economics practices.

28 January 2020. This is the 11th consecutive year the Firm has been ranked as Elite in Austria in the highest tier among Austrian Firms since the GCR 100 began having individual country chapters. The publication highlights bpv Huegel’s role advising on antitrust matters some of the year’s biggest deals and litigations:

“bpv Huegel is widely considered to have one of Austria’s leading competition teams and frequently appears on the counsel list for some of the biggest deals affecting the country. Astrid Ablasser-Neuhuber leads the overall competition practice, while Florian Neumayr spearheads antitrust litigation while Gerhard Fussenegger is heading the Firm´s Brussels office. The firm hired Counsel Kajetan Rozga from Weil Gotshal & Manges in New York in the past year, adding nearly a decade of US antitrust experience.

Firms’ rankings in each jurisdiction are based on periodic country surveys, in which GCR’s reporters meet with leading private practitioners and top enforcers to identify the latest shifts in competition law.  The market intelligence obtained through this research, coupled with more than 20 years of daily reporting on competition matters around the world, feeds into these periodic competition bar surveys.
