This year, the 59th congress organized by the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) will take place in Zurich and will focus on innovative legal concepts. The fields of law covered range from real estate, labour and financial law to M&A, tax and healthcare law, so that numerous practical issues will be addressed. Innovation will not only be discussed theoretically, but also put into practice by AIJA – for the first time, the congress will take place both in-person in Zurich and with a virtual option through a custom-made online platform.
AIJA is the only global association devoted to lawyers and in-house counsel aged 45 and under. Since 1962 AIJA provides outstanding international opportunities for young lawyers to network, learn and develop, and now has more than 4,000 members. Through congresses, seminars and working groups on legal topics, the association actively contributes to the further development of laws, their implementation relevance and practicality, both internationally and on a national level.
Dr. Michaela Pelinka LL.M., Partner and Co-Head of the Real Estate Desk at bpv Huegel, has been assigned the exciting task of planning the academic program for this year’s annual conference, after having already contributed her expertise as AIJA National Representative as well as member on AIJA’s Extended Board of Directors.
