Ingo Braun is partner in the financing & regulatory practice group with over 20 years of experience in advising financial institutions and corporates in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, financial market regulation and restructurings. Ingo’s work includes acquisition finance, syndicated loans, derivatives & structured finance, loan transfer & debt restructuring, distressed assets, restructuring and fintechs (digital assets, payment services etc). His regulatory work includes matters on authorisation & licenses, remuneration, outsourcing, credit risk mitigation etc.

Ingo Braun publishes on financial market, insolvency, data protection and insurance law and is the author of the Austrian chapter in “Performing and Non-Performing Loan Transactions Across the World, A Practical Guide”, in the Chambers Practice Guide – Insurance and Reinsurance – Trends and Developments in Austria and in the “Praxishandbuch DSGVO“. He is also a frequent lecturer.

Ingo Braun is partner at bpv Huegel since 2021. Prior to that, he was a partner in international commercial law firms in Vienna and worked as a secondee at one of the largest international commercial law firms in London. In 2004, Ingo was one of the founders of the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP).
