bpv Huegel ranks top 4 in terms of deal volume of Austrian related M&A transactions in the Mergermarket M&A league table 2018 with nine deals and a combined EUR 1.148bn deal value.

With nine Austria-related deals worth a combined deal value according to merger-market criteria of EUR 1.148bn bpv Huegel is in the top field of the 145 law firms in the ranking.

 

bpv Huegel achieved this top position in a market with active international competitors. As one of the leading transaction law firms in Austria, in particular as to complex deals, bpv Huegel in 2018 once again advised on a number of high profile M&A transactions such as the sale of a core shareholding in listed CA Immo by listed IMMOFINANZ to Starwood Capital (EUR 760m), Raiffeisen Informatik on the sale of global operating COMPAREX Group to KKR backed Swiss SoftwareONE and acquisition of a core shareholding in listed S IMMO by IMMOFINANZ (EUR 390m).

 

The position of bpv Huegel as leading transaction firm is further confirmed by being finalist for the “Law Firm of the Year – Austria” at the prestigious The Lawyer European Awards 2019 again after obtaining the international award in 2018.
