International addition in the Antitrust and Dispute Resolution practices at bpv Huegel

Astrid Ablasser-Neuhuber and Florian Neumayr are pleased to welcome attorney Sebastian Reiter to bpv Huegel’s Antitrust and Dispute Resolution teams.

18 November 2021. Sebastian (32) joins bpv Huegel from Jones Day in Frankfurt, where he gained years of experience advising major US, European and Chinese clients on EU and Austrian antitrust/competition/merger control matters, investment control cases and complex disputes at European and Austrian courts as well as on high stakes arbitrations in the energy sector. Sebastian started his career with the antitrust team of another major Austrian firm and clerked at the Supreme Court of Austria.

Sebastian’s practice also builds on a rich academic background. After studies at the Universities of Vienna and Panthéon-Assas, he obtained a PhD with a thesis on energy law at the University of Vienna’s Department of Civil Law and an LL.M. at Yale Law School on a Fulbright Scholarship. He retains his ties with academia and today teaches “Private Law Theory” at the University of Vienna.

Sebastian’s experience perfectly complements bpv Huegel’s practices and bolsters our leadership in competition matters and complex disputes resolution.
