The Mergermarket European M&A Awards pays tribute to leading deal-making roles in Europe over the past year. Firms are nominated according to the Mergermarket’s M&A database. bpv Hügel leads the Austrian Mergermarket M&A legal advisor league table (Q1-Q3, 2017, per value) with Austria-related deals worth a combined EUR 5.3bn deal volume credited.

Vienna/Moedling, 17 October, 2017. bpv Hügel is happy that the firm is finalist for the prestigious Mergermarket European Awards as Austrian M&A Legal Adviser of the Year 2017. Mergermarket is a world market leading business intelligence provider providing deal data.

The shortlist for the Mergermarket M&A Awards is based on the league table data and includes the top-ranked advisors. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of board members from leading banks and investment firms, as well as prominent academics and lawyers.

The shortlist comprise well-known Austrian law firms. bpv Hügel’s M&A practice leads the M&A legal advisor league table (Q1-Q3 2017, per value) with Austria-related deals credited as qualifying M&A transactions in Austria on the basis of the Mergermarket criteria worth a combined EUR 5.3bn deal volume. With this transaction volume bpv Hügel outshone all of the over 100 other law firms in the ranking value wise.
