bpv Huegel advises the shareholders of FLEX Capital portfolio company Omikron on its merger with the COPS Group

October 2026. bpv Huegel advised the shareholders of software company Omikron, a portfolio company of private equity investor FLEX Capital, on the Austrian aspects of its merger with the COPS Group, which operates in Austria and Germany. Heuking advised on the German aspects of the transaction.

The merger of Omikron, provider of the “multicash” payment and cash management solution, and COPS, provider of the “corima” treasury management software, creates a major provider of payment and treasury solutions in the DACH region. The merger aims to establish an integrated end-to-end platform for payments and treasury, enabling the group to cover key CFO-related processes in the future – from payments and liquidity management to risk management and accounting.

Together, the companies employ around 150 people across several locations in Germany and Austria and serve more than 700 corporate customers.

The bpv Huegel team advised on all Austrian legal and tax matters relating to the transaction, conducted the legal due diligence and assisted with the structuring, negotiation of the transaction documents and completion on the Austrian side. bpv Huegel worked closely with Heuking’s German advisory team.
