bpv Legal | Czech Republic advised in the successful sale of Mediaservis

16. October 2018. bpv BRAUN PARTNERS provided comprehensive legal advice on the sale of its long-standing client, Mediaservis, the largest alternative postal operator in the Czech Republic and also the only operator with its own distribution network, to the buyer, První novinová společnost (PNS). The transaction was approved by the Office for the Protection of Competition over the summer and the divestment process was completed in October of this year.

 

Partner David Vosol acted as team lead with Michal Hrabovský and Oldřich Krkoška in supporting roles.

 

Mediaservis delivers addressed and non-addressed consignments and employs nearly 10,000 staff for this purpose. Until now it was part of the Slovak Cromwell group, which is the largest alternative postal operator in Slovakia.

 

PNS is the largest distributor of printed materials in the Czech Republic. Its main shareholders are Vltava Labe Media, Czech News Center, Mafra and Bauer Media.
