30 Years of RuSt

30 years of RuSt – and bpv Huegel has been part of it from the very beginning.

14 October 2026.

Today, RuSt kicked off with the NEXTGen Day, organised by Business Circle, and bpv Huegel was once again part of this special conference.

Our partners Nicolas Wolski and Johannes Mitterecker presented an M&A case study, while Florian Neumayr joined Georg Durstberger (OMV) for the closing panel discussion on corporate decision-making at the intersection of law, risk and responsibility, moderated by Martin Reichetseder (TGW Logistics).

Tomorrow, the RuSt Klassik conference continues – and we look forward to welcoming participants to our Champagne Reception on the second day. 🥂

Here’s to inspiring discussions, fresh perspectives and 30 years of RuSt!

🥂 30 years of RuSt – celebrating three decades of dialogue and exchange.

 15 October 2026.

The first day of the RuSt Klassik conference featured a Champagne Reception hosted by bpv Huegel, bringing participants together for conversations and exchange.

A special highlight of the anniversary edition was a look back at 30 years of RuSt. Comedian Christian Hölbing spoke with RuSt initiator Romy Faisst, Clemens Hasenauer (CERHA HEMPEL) and Barbara Valente (bpv Huegel) about the forum’s development and significance over the years.

The celebrations continued with the 30th anniversary gala dinner and the RuSt party.

Expertise, insights and current developments at RuSt 2026.

16 October 2026.

On the final day of RuSt, our partners contribute to two key areas of legal practice:

🔹 Competition Law Compliance: Astrid Ablasser-Neuhuber, bpv Huegel, and Stefan Ruech, Austrian Federal Competition Authority, discussed current enforcement priorities, recent developments in competition law and key compliance challenges.

🔹 Convertible Loans and Convertible Bonds: In our second session, Franz Hartlieb, University of Klagenfurt, and Christoph Nauer, bpv Huegel, explored the legal requirements and structuring options for these financing instruments, from start-ups to listed companies.

With these insights, we conclude three days of exchange, discussion and expert perspectives at the 30th anniversary edition of RuSt.

Many thanks to all speakers, participants and the Business Circle team for three inspiring days full of exchange, expertise and new perspectives!
