Christian F. Schneider specialises in public economic law, energy law, telecommunication law, environmental law, procurement law and European law (in particular internal market and State aid). He is a Partner and head of Public Economic Law. In addition to his activities in Vienna, he is also active for the Brussels office.

Mandates
Christian F. Schneider has been advising and representing inter alia national and international undertakings from the energy, telecommunication and waste management industry as well as national, regional and local government institutions and associations.

Teaching activities and lectures
Christian F. Schneider teaches public economic law and telecommunication law at Vienna University and is a regular speaker on topics concerning public economic law and EU law; he is also an examiner for Constitutional Law at Vienna University.

Education and professional background
Christian F. Schneider earned a doctor degree in law at Vienna University in 1996 and a doctor degree in business administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2001. From 1995 to 2000 he was assistant professor at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law at Vienna University, since 2001 he has been attorney-at-law and since 2004 Partner at bpv Hügel. In 2013 he was awarded the right to teach Constitutional Law and Administrative Law and the related fields of European Law for a two volume post-doctoral thesis on the Regulatory Law in the Network Industries by Vienna University (“Habilitation”).
