Walter Niedermüller is bpv Huegel’s expert in labour law. He also specialises in general civil law and civil procedure law.

Mandates
Walter Niedermüller advises national and international clients in connection with issues of Austrian and European labour law, both in collective and individual labour law, such as the drafting of employment contracts, the expatriation of employees, transfers of businesses, negotiations with works councils and trade unions, termination of employment contracts, etc. He represents clients in court and before public authorities.

 Selected mandates include

  • International Aviation Group and Vueling Airlines in connection with the foundation of Level Airlines in Austria (recruitment of up to 200 new employees starting from the upper management level, pilots, captains, crew; consulting and conducting collective bargaining)
  • Advice of a PE investor on several acquisition projects, including the acquisition of Austrian ski manufacturer Kästle
  • FAIRTIQ AG in connection with the establishment of a subsidiary in Austria
  • Valneva Austria GmbH (ongoing legal advice)
  • Representation of various Austrian communities in connection with the termination of contract employees
  • Advising clients in connection with allegations of wage and social dumping
  • Advice in connection with complex issues relating to maternity protection, parental part-time work, protection against dismissal

Education and professional background
Walter Niedermüller graduated from the University of Vienna in 2011 with a Master of Laws. After his court practice in 2012, he was a trainee lawyer from 2012-2017 and has been a lawyer with bpv Huegel since 2017.
