Sebastian is a member of bpv Huegel’s Competition and Antitrust and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.

He advises clients on Austrian and European competition law as well as on Austrian investment control rules, on regulatory matters in network industries and on complex disputes in civil litigation and arbitrations.

  • Advise US-American tech company on competition law questions at the intersection with copyright law
  • Austrian merger control advice for SAP’s € 7 billion acquisition of Qualtrics
  • Merger control advice to Scandinavian industrial client relating to a parallel public takeover battle for corporate control
  • Successful appeal to the Austrian Supreme Cartel Court in competition law proceedings initiated by Austrian Energy-Regulator, E-Control, against a large natural gas exporter
  • Arbitration for a large natural gas exporter relating to gas price adaptions
  • Arbitration relating to long-term gas contracts in Austria
  • Advise US-American public industrial company in stock-benefit claw-back proceedings against former manager under US law in Austria
  • Advise Chinese medical tech company in patent and copyright litigation in Austria
