bpv Huegel brings ski-deal over the finish line – ConsilSport acquires Austrian ski manufacturer Kaestle

The Czech ConsilSport Group acquires with bpv Huegel a majority stake in the Austrian ski manufacturer Kaestle.

Vienna, 12 April, 2018. bpv Huegel advised the Czech ConsilSport Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in Kaestle, a Vorarlberg-based ski manufacturer. bpv Huegel also advised on the future shareholder relations with the sellers, a group of investors lead by Rudolf Knuenz who will remain invested as minority shareholders.

Kaestle is one of the best-known premium brands in the ski business with an almost 100-year history. The Czech ConsilSport Group has acquired a 90.4% stake in the Austrian ski manufacturer. ConsilSport already owns a large alpine and cross-country ski manufacturer which operates under the “Sporten” brand.
