bpv Hügel advises management of BAI Group in its sale by UniCredit Bank Austria to joint venture of SIGNA and investor group.

The BAI Bauträger Group has EUR 1.7bn real estate investment volume and a 440,000 sqm development portfolio. BAI was sold by UniCredit Bank Austria to a joint venture of SIGNA and investor group. bpv Hügel advised the management of the target in the course of the transaction. 

Vienna/Mödling, 01 March 2017. bpv Hügel has advised the management of BAI Bauträger Group as target in the course of its sale by UniCredit Bank Austria to a joint venture between SIGNA and an investor group.

The bpv Hügel team was led by Hanns F. Hügel (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and further included Gerald Schachner (Partner, Tax) as well as Florian Plattner (Partner, Corporate/M&A).

BAI is an indirect subsidiary of UniCredit Bank Austria. BAI has a real estate investment volume of approx. EUR 1.7bn with a current portfolio of 18 projects as well as a development portfolio of more than 440,000 sqm.

SIGNA was advised by Arnold Rechtsanwälte GmbH, the investor group by Schönherr and Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner Rechtsanwälte GmbH supported the sellers.
