bpv Huegel advises logistics service provider MELO Group on the Acquisition of Cargoe from Morawa

Vienna, 28 January 2019. bpv Huegel advised the Munich-based media and logistics service provider MELO Group on the acquisition of the Salzburg-based logistics company Cargoe Morawa PGV GmbH & Co KG (Cargoe) from Morawa Pressevertrieb Gesellschaft m.b.H. & Co KG (Morawa Pressevertrieb).

 

MELO Group is an internationally active media and logistics service provider based in Munich. The group emerged from the press distribution company founded in 1945 by Hermann Trunk. The company is active in four business segments: the Logistic Services and Aviation Services divisions form the logistics unit, while the Media Distribution and Content Creation divisions are dedicated to the Group’s media activities. Around 2,000 employees work for the company at twenty locations in five countries.

 

Cargo is an Austrian logistics company based in Salzburg. It was founded in 2014 as a logistics joint venture between Pressegrossvertrieb Austria Trunk, a company of the MELO Group, and Morawa Pressevertrieb. With the current acquisition, the MELO Group is taking over the logistics service provider completely. The company employs around 400 people.
