Magdalena Nowak specialises in dispute resolution, in representing clients before state courts, international arbitral tribunals and authorities. In her practice, she also concentrates on Austrian and European competition law, abuse of a dominant position and merger control.

During her legal education, Magdalena Nowak was awarded with the Werner Melis Award for the Best Memorandum for Respondent (3rd place) in the XX Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Education and professional background
Magdalena Nowak completed her legal education at the University of Warsaw, Poland (Mgr) and at the University of Vienna, Austria (Mag. iur. and LL.M. in European and International Business Law, with distinction). Before joining bpv Huegel in 2018, she worked as an Associate in a renowned international law firm in Vienna where she specialised in UN Sales Law and arbitration. During her studies, she gained her first professional experience in corporate, capital market and commercial law at two international law firms in Warsaw and at IBM Poland. In 2018, she completed her judicial clerkship in the Austrian courts.
